The Irish government has introduced various community support and well-being programmes during the COVID-19 pandemic and in support of its roadmap for a return of activities.

Currently, level 5 public health restrictions will remain in place until 5 April 2021. Measures are continuously being reviewed and updated. For more information on updates to the COVID-19 Resilience and Recovery 2021 plan, visit here.

COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment: available to employees and those who are self-employed, who have lost their job on or after 13 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For more information and how to apply visit here or contact the Income Support Helpline for COVID-19 at 1890 800 024.

Employment Wage Subsidy Scheme (EWSS): a flat-rate subsidy per employee is provided if your turnover has fallen by 30%. For more information visit here 

COVID-19 Enhanced Illness Benefit: If a worker is told to self-isolate, restrict their movements or diagnosed with COVID-19, they can apply for a COVID-19 Enhanced Illness Benefit payment of €350 per week. For more information visit here

Covid Restrictions Support Scheme (CRSS): Qualifying businesses can apply to Revenue for a cash payment of up to €5,000 a week. For more information visit here
