The Migrant Access Programme (MAP) is a free nationwide service established by New Communities
Partnership (NCP) in 2017. Our aim is to support migrants to overcome cultural and personal barriers
and empower them with a “Toolkit” to outline their career future in order to access employment
opportunities as residents in Ireland. MAP uses two models in its work; The Employment training
and Public Information sessions both of which are delivered by multi-lingual Facilitators. This enables
MAP to be inclusive of participants whose first language is not English and based on individual needs
assessment.

MAP employment training is a for Four (4) weeks; Two (2) days per week focused group and
personalised one-to-one support. Topics covered include; Getting Work Ready, English and Essential
IT skills for job searching; creating a successful CV and cover letter template, Presentation and
Effective communication skills, Interview skills / Mock interview practice and self-employment.

Our employment trainings which are delivered nationwide, includes course materials and six
months’ follow-up support for MAP participants.

MAP interactive Public information sessions are half-day information and awareness raising
sessions also delivered nationwide on topics such as; Employment rights and entitlements, Revenue,
Qualification recognition and training and volunteer experience, Employment supports and services
available.

We also deliver sessions to Programme refugees and people with temporary working permit, community and religious groups.
